Skateboard Brand Supports CHOC Children's Hospital
Art of Board, a lifestyle and design brand known for its hard surface tiles made from recycled skateboard decks, joined with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s) to unveil a new tile wall installation in the hospital’s teen room. Art of Board donated 70 square feet of its recycled skateboard tile, which equates to about 100 skateboard decks the company collects through its international skateboard recycling movement, I Ride I Recycle.

Organic Skateboards? Why Not!
Art of Board, a company known for its hard surface tiles made from recycled skateboard decks, is thrilled to announce a partnership with Penny Skateboards, the manufacturer of the original plastic skateboard, to produce a limited edition organic skateboard. The design of this new board was inspired by Art of Board’s signature allover skate tile pattern. With this amazing new design, Art of Board hopes to further spread the I Ride I Recycle message, which calls upon skateshops and riders to recycle their used boards through the movement. The Penny ‘Organic’ board includes a unique enzyme that will allow the plastic to decompose at a faster rate than normal plastic when it is buried back into the earth, keeping in line with both companies belief in environmental stewardship.

Art of Board Makes Reclaimed Skateboards into Floor Tiles
Imagine Tile, an industry leader pioneering the use of high-resolution imagery on commercially rated ceramic tile, has launched its second collection of porcelain skate-inspired tiles in collaboration with tile, home and lifestyle design brand, Art of Board. The 12-inch by 24-inch collection follows the success of their 3-inch by 6-inch wall tile collection, which was released last year in a standard gloss finish and has since been installed in residential, commercial and hospitality venues across the country. The new Art of Board Floor Collection is inspired by the personality, creativity, freedom and expression of street skate culture and sustainable design.
